Transdev Lancashire charity walk raises money for air ambulance
A team of drivers, engineers, and support staff from our companies across Lancashire has raised over £500 for North West Air Ambulance Charity.
Transdev colleagues in Lancashire – including from Blackburn Bus Company, Burnley Bus Company, Rosso, and our commercial offices – walked a six-mile route from Ewood Park in Blackburn to Accrington.

Transdev raises money for Air Ambulance
Seven days a week, 365 days a year, North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters respond to urgent medical attention across Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside.
These incredible services rely on public donations to stay in the air, which is why Transdev are proud to be supporting North West Air Ambulance Charity.
On June 27, a team of employees from Transdev’s three Lancashire-based companies completed their first campaign event – a six-mile walk from Ewood Park in Blackburn all the way to Accrington Bus Station.
Armed with donation buckets and donning their official North West Air Ambulance t-shirts, this team met hundreds of people along the route. In total, they raised more than £500 in just a few hours.
Frank Stanisauskis, Transdev General Manager Lancashire, said: “An enormous thank you to everyone we met along the way and gave what they could to support our cause, and to our colleagues who took part in the walk.
“Despite the intense heat and humidity, everyone had a fantastic time, and we are delighted to have kicked off our charity fundraising campaign for North West with this incredible £500 donation.”
North West Air Ambulance Charity Regional Fundraiser Hayden Harrington said: “NWAA is humbled and heart-warmed by the incredible efforts of Transdev staff braving their walk despite very humid conditions and by the generosity of the people of East Lancashire helping to raise an amazing £500.
“During heatwaves such as these, our crews also brave the heat every day to make a life-saving difference, so this gesture really resonates with our “we are all #onecrew” motto, as without supporters like Transdev, our crews wouldn’t be able to continue their vital work throughout the local community.”
