Schools Out, Days Out – New adventures await with our buses

Take your family on a new adventure and create memories that will last a lifetime with Days Out by York and Country and Coastliner.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere for the kids to burn off energy or if you’re looking for something to take them out of their comfort zone, there’s so much to see and do on our bus routes this Easter.

And with Group tickets costing £16 if you're travelling between Leeds and York, or £31 if going further, for up to five people, you’ll have plenty of spare change to enjoy what’s out there!

City Sightseeing York

The best way to visit all of York’s best attractions in a single day is undoubtedly on one of our City Sightseeing tour buses.

There are 21 stops on our open top tour of York, including Jorvik Viking Centre, York Dungeon, the National Railway Museum, the Museum Gardens, Clifford’s Tower and many more!

And this Easter, we’ll be introducing a bigger timetable with tours every 15 minutes throughout the day – before returning to our every-20-minute tours for the rest of the Spring season.

You can hop on/hop off at any of these spots, and you can even get some money off admission to a few places when you show your City Sightseeing York bus ticket.

Flamingo Land Resort

Enjoy hair-raising theme park rides, an award-winning zoo and a daily programme of live entertainment at Flamingo Land Resort, between Malton and Pickering in North Yorkshire.

Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of the wildest rollercoasters – Flamingo Land has you covered with family-friendly options too, and the zoo is filled with an amazing range of animals, birds, insects, reptiles and fish to see.

Selected journeys on Coastliner 840 from Leeds, Tadcaster, York and Malton to Thornton-le-Dale call at Kirby Misperton roundabout, just a few yards from the entrance. But please do check bus times carefully, as not all journeys serve Kirby Misperton.

SEA LIFE Scarborough

With penguins, sharks, seals, otters, and so many other incredible animals, SEA LIFE Scarborough is certainly a must-visit attraction for families!

And you can get up to 30% off admission when you show your Transdev Treats voucher – simply ask your driver for a voucher, and dive right in when you get to the aquarium door!

Our iconic Coastliner 843 bus goes from Leeds, York and Malton all the way through to Scarborough – meaning you could be enjoying some delicious fish and chips on the beach just outside this famous aquarium by lunchtime.

Eden Camp, Malton

Sitting right on the outskirts of Malton – aka the ‘Food Capital of Yorkshire’ – is Eden Camp, one of the best modern history museums in the entire country.

Discover how ordinary people made extraordinary efforts during the Second World War, explore 22 immersive huts that bring wartime Britain to life, and see the incredible vehicles from conflicts past and present.

Our Coastliner 840 takes you there from Leeds and York, and it’s a quick walk to the main gates – you can even get £2 off admission when you show your Transdev Treats voucher, just ask your driver for one and show it on entry.

Whitby by the Seaside

From world-famous fish and chips to the original Dracula Experience, there’s something for everyone here by the seaside in Whitby.
