Coastliner 840 Diversion - Blue Bank

Due to a road closure on Blue Bank, Coastliner 840 will be diverting via Scarborough A170

This is on place from 19th to 23rd October, from 9am to 3.30pm

840 will serve Thornton-le-Dale as usual and then will divert to Whitby via Scarborough

Stops missed: Dalby Forest, Fox and Rabbit, Lockton Lane End, Hole of Horcum, Saltergate Inn, RAF Flyingdales, Goathland, Eskdale Fisheries, Sleights Ingham Close, Spar Shop, Sleights Bridge, Sleights Carrhill Lane, Carr Hill, Carr Hall, Carr Mount Farm, Chainbridge Holiday Park, Ruswarp Church, Bank Top, Ruswarp Lane, Resolution Way, Mayfield Road & Community College

Next stop that will be served is Meadow Fields

This will affect the following journeys from Leeds Bus Station: 6.35am, 9am and 11am (first 3 journeys to Whitby)

The journey from Leeds at 1.10pm will run as usual and will run the full route - no diversion

There are 5 way temporary lights installed at Eastgate Roundabout Pickering for groundworks

Coastliner may experience delays on some journeys

Diversion on Coastliner

19th Oct 2026 - 4th Nov 2026

Due to roadworks between Fulford and Tadcaster, Coastliner will be diverting towards Leeds only

The journey will divert after Copmanthorpe via Wighill

After Manor Heath bus stop, the bus will turn right, then at the roundabout will take the second exit onto Askham Fields Lane. The bus will then take the second left onto York road, then onto Wighill Road all the way to Tadcaster. At the traffic lights the bus will turn right then resume normal route

The last stop to be served will be Manor Heath

Stops missed: The Buckles Inn, Travelodge, Aagrar Restaurant, Street Cottages, Bowbridge Farm, Oxten Lane End, Tadcaster Industrial Estate, Auster Bank & The Leeds Arms

Next stop to be served will be Tadcaster Bus Station

This is in place on 19th October, from 8pm to 6am on 4th November
