There's no need to choose your ticket or buy upfront - simply tap your contactless bank card (or device) on the driver's reader when you get on, and again when you get off.
Our clever system will automatically calculate the price for your journey, and take the money at the end of the day. This means you only pay for what you use - and if you're making a few trips on the same day, we'll cap you at the day ticket price in the areas you've travelled in.
Tap On, Tap Off is a great option for adults - but promotional fares (such as young persons and discounts for Job Seekers) aren't available through Tap On, Tap Off... you can still buy these tickets directly from your driver.

Is it really just as simple as tapping on my card or device when I get on and off?
Yes - just tap your card and we'll do the rest. Just remember to use the same card or device for all the trips you make in a day.
How do I know what I've been charged?
Visit the Tap On, Tap Off portal for a full list of journeys you've made and the associated charge.
When will you take the money?
We'll take the money at the end of the day, but this could be affected by how quickly your bank processes the transaction.
Will I get a ticket or receipt?
No - Tap On, Tap Off is paperless, but you can download a receipt from the Tap On, Tap Off portal.
Can I pay for multiple customers or a discounted ticket using Tap On, Tap Off?
No - you'll need to buy a ticket from your driver.
I've forgotten to tap off - what happens?
You'll be charged to the last stop on the route - you can check if this is your normal fare by going to the Tap On, Tap Off portal.
