Lister Park

Lister Park is one of Bradford’s largest parks, situated in the Manningham area of the city – it’s also known as Manningham Park by local Bradfordians.

It’s a Green Flag award-winning park, and deservedly so – there’s lots for all the family to enjoy, including a boating lake, tennis courts, play areas, and an inspiring Islamic and Hindu architecturally-styled water garden.

Wander into the magnificent Cartwright Hall Art Gallery to see a permanent exhibition of work by Bradford-born artist David Hockney. Visitors can also spot various sculptures around the park, including one of J.M. Barrie’s iconic character ‘Peter Pan’ on one of four islands at the centre of the lake, each one hosting a piece of art.

A revitalised safe play area is guaranteed to keep the little ones happy, with a great choice of swings, slides and more on a soft rubberised surface. Surrounded by grassed areas, this is an ideal place for a family picnic.

Reach Lister Park on theSHUTTLE 662 from Keighley, Bingley and Bradford.
