All steamed up on the Railway Children line

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is a five mile heritage line from Keighley to Oxenhope, calling at Ingrow West, home of the Vintage Carriages Trust’s Carriageworks museum, dedicated to preserving the golden age of rail travel … then Damems, the smallest railway station in Britain … and then, Oakworth, the station featured in the original 1970 version of ‘The Railway Children’ starring Jenny Agutter, Sally Thomsett and Bernard Cribbins, and based on Edith Nesbit’s book of the same name. 

Next along the line is Haworth, home of the literary Bronte sisters and a major draw for visitors from all over the world, before the train reaches the end of the line at Oxenhope, where the railway’s operational carriages are lovingly maintained.
