Ilkley

The spa town of Ilkley is famous for its stylish shopping, beautiful gardens and culture venues – but to see what really made its name around the world, stride up onto Ilkley Moor above the town to see the Cow and Calf Rocks, inspiration for the much-loved Yorkshire anthem ‘On Ilkley Moor Baht ‘at’.

Back in town, there’s plenty to do whatever the weather, with an award-winning independent cinema, a climbing centre and a soft play venue – or why not take afternoon tea at Betty’s Tea Rooms? You can even enjoy the fun of the seaside without trekking to the coast, by taking the plunge at Ilkley Pool and Lido, one of the country’s few remaining outdoor pools.

Drop into the Ilkley Visitor Information Centre on Station Road, opposite the bus station, where the friendly team will help you make the most of your visit to this captivating town.

Our Route 62 from Keighley and Route 64 from Skipton are your regular connections to Ilkley – or try our Saturday Dalesbus 74 from York, Knaresborough, Harrogate and Otley for a grand Yorkshire day out!
