The Keighley Bus Company, part of the award-winning Transdev Blazefield, is looking for a skilled and motivated PCV Electrician to join our engineering team at Keighley.
Working with one of the UK's most recognised bus operators, you'll be responsible for maintaining our fleet to the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation. The role
As a PCV Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems that keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing vehicle electrical faults and identifying appropriate repair solutions
- Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing and repairing high voltage (HV) vehicle systems
- Maintaining and repairing electronic braking, suspension and multiplex wiring systems
- Using a range of specialist diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, temperature gauges, micrometres and ECU diagnostic software
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer standards and company procedures
- Supporting depot engineering teams in maintaining fleet reliability and availability
- Contributing to a safe, organised and productive workshop environment
What are we looking for
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Level 3 NVQ in vehicle maintenance, electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Strong practical knowledge of PCV electrical systems and fault diagnosis
- Experience working with electronic diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle technologies
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and engineering standards
- A full UK driving licence
