 Town Gate in Highburton has been closed due to emergency roadworks,The D1  will not be able to Serve Highburton. We will be diverting direct via North Road and Penistone Road in both directions. 

We will be observing all stops along the diversion route.

Free Town Bus Diversion22nd April - Nov 2026

Due to Northumberland Street being made One Way the Free Town bus can not serve Northumberland St towards the Town Centre.

This is in place until Nov 2026.

A Temporary stop has been place on Viaduct Street.

Due to continued vandalism to our service, we have unfortunately had to diver the 20 service from 17:30 onwards,

Diversion on 343Exp July 2026

Due to a road closure at Yew Tree Road, the 343 will be diverting for approximately 10 months 

Stop missed: Yew Tree Road Halifax Road

Alternative stop: Yew Tree Road Birchington Drive 

This is place from 22nd September 2025 and expected to be in place until July 2026

The timetable will remain the same and please allow extra time for your travel

Diversion route: 

-Towards Halifax: from Wetherhill Road, right onto Yew Tree Road, then right onto Birchington Drive, left onto Birchington Avenue, left onto Halifax Road, right onto Yew Tree Road and back to normal route

-Towards Huddersfeld: from Yew Tree Road, left onto Halifax Road, right onto Birchington Avenue, right onto Birchington Drive, left onto Yew Tree Road and then back to normal route
