Open from Wednesday to Saturday daytime, Mr Fitzpatrick’s is no ordinary watering hole – in fact, it’s Britain’s last original Temperance Bar!

Mr Fitzpatrick’s has been serving non-alcoholic drinks since 1899 – it pays subtle homage to old-school temperance outlets, but has a bright, welcoming interior with an impressive range of drinks, including classics such as sarsaparilla, cream soda and root beer, alongside more trendy options including lime and lemongrass, yuzuand turmeric cordial.

But in our humble opinion, one drink stands head and shoulders above the rest – the delicious ‘464 Milkshake’, named in honour of our very own Rosso 464 bus route, which begins its journey to Accrington and Rochdale from the nearby Rawtenstall Bus Station.

The recipe for this milky wonder is a closely-guarded secret, but the good news is that you can enjoy it with 15 percent off using a Transdev Treats voucher from your friendly bus driver.

Mr Fitzpatrick’s is on Bank Street in Rawtenstall town centre, just a short walk from the Bus Station, served by the 7 from Todmorden, our Witchway express from Burnley and Manchester, 483 from Burnley and Bury – and of course, the 464 from Accrington, Bacup and Rochdale!
