On the edge of town, Eden Camp Modern History Museum takes visitors back in time at a former WW2 prisoner of war camp. Based in the camp’s original huts, displays cover each stage of the conflict – there’s also a large exhibition hall where visitors can get up close to an ever-growing collection of military vehicles and equipment. Eden Camp opens from March to November – Coastliner 840 to Thornton-le-Dale and Whitby stops close by.
