Double-Deck the Halls! Transdev raises money for Save the Children this Christmas
8 months ago
From Blackburn and Burnley to York and Leeds, we’ve donned our best (and worst) Christmas Jumpers in support of Save The Children’s annual fundraising event!
In 2024, Christmas Jumper Day raised an amazing £2.8 million for Save The Children – with 100% of donations going towards helping kids in both the UK and around the world stay safe, healthy, and learning.
Transdev have supported Save The Children for years, and 2025 is no different, with our drivers, engineers, and office workers pulling on their favourite Xmas knits and raising money for a good cause… We’ve also been decorating our bus depots for the festive season!
Christmas Jumper Day raises money for Save the Children
On Thursday, colleagues from across our nine regional bus services came into work wearing their best (and worst) Christmas Jumpers – and wow, there were certainly some super sweaters on display.
Here are some pictures of our favourite festive jumpers from this year’s Save The Children fundraiser.
Dressed as Mrs Claus, Office Manager Tracy Cloggie said: “I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all our staff for embracing the festive spirit and for wearing their Christmas jumpers/hats today.
“Your enthusiasm, creativity and good humour have brought extra warmth and joy to the workplace. It’s moments like these that remind us of what a special team we have. Thank you to everyone.”
But wait, there’s more!
Transdev decorates depots in tinsel time for Christmas
We also wanted our bus depots in Yorkshire and Lancashire to reflect the festive season, so we encouraged (and pestered) our General Managers to decorate their spaces… And we’re thrilled with the results!
Project and Marketing Manager Matt Burley said: “It’s always nice to have a bit of fun around the Holidays – even if it’s just a few Christmas trees and some tinsel, everyone really enjoys making their workspaces a bit more festive. Thank you to everyone who got involved this year, and we’ll go even more Winter-Wonderland in 2026!”
We’ve got a few more donation campaigns coming soon – so keep an eye out for news about ‘Santa’s all-electric sleigh’ and our Transdev-wide ‘Winter Food Drive.’
Even though the date of this year’s fundraiser has now passed, you can still donate to Save the Children. More information on the charity and Christmas Jumper Day is online at: Christmas Jumper Day 2025 | Save the Children UK.
