charity fundraising
We’re dedicating our charity fundraising support to two incredible air ambulance emergency services.
In 2026, our leadership team chose two amazing organisations from a selection of local and national charities to support: the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service and North West Air Ambulance Charity.
Supporting the Air Ambulance
Emergency air ambulances operate seven days a week, 365 days a year.
When called upon, crews provide specialised treatment at the scene before transporting patients to nearby trauma centres and hospitals.
These emergency services rely on public donations to stay in the air. That’s why in 2026, we started dedicating support to two of these extraordinary charities: Yorkshire Air Ambulance and North West Air Ambulance Charity.
We have been raising money and awareness for YAA and NWAA through various events, including charity walks along our most popular bus routes, office fundraisers, and ‘Coffee and Cake mornings’ at our bus depots.
Tessa Klemz, Regional Fundraising Manager at Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said of the partnership while visiting the Harrogate Bus Company:
"We are delighted to have been chosen as one of Transdev's charities of the year and would like to thank everyone involved for their support. As an independent Charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses and communities to help keep our crews responding to incidents across Yorkshire.
"Partnerships like this not only help raise vital funds but also increase awareness of the lifesaving work our crews carry out every day. We are looking forward to working with Transdev throughout the year and wish everyone taking part in the charity walks the very best of luck."

Hayden Harrington, Regional Fundraiser at North West Air Ambulance Charity, said during a visit to Blackburn Bus Company:
“We’re incredibly grateful that Transdev’s staff have chosen to support their local air ambulances, NWAA and YAA. It’s a powerful reflection of the difference our Charity makes to the communities we’re both proud to serve.
“As Transdev connects people across the North of England, this is a natural partnership, helping us reach more people with an important message: we receive no government or NHS funding. Their generosity is vital for us to be able to provide critical care across the region."

Together with other local businesses and the support of the public, we can help keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and North West Air Ambulance Charity operational.
