Are you under 19, and paying the full adult fare whenever you use the bus? This could be the oddest advice you've ever had from a bus company - but we mean it.

We don't want you to be paying full fare if you're under 19. Money is meant for better things than spending on bus travel, right? We know that the bus is your ticket to freedom, and with free WiFi and USB power on lots of our buses, we also help you to stay connected with your friends.

Under 5s travel free

Children under 5 travel free on all of our buses, they just need to be travelling with an adult!.

Under 19s in West Yorkshire

Under 19s get a cheaper fares, no ID required - just ask your driver for a U19 ticket. You'll pay £1.20 for most journeys, or £1.80 for a longer journey. From your 19th birthday, check out our range of standard priced tickets.

Under 19s in North Yorkshire

Under 19s get 1/3 off adult fares, no ID required - just ask your driver for a U19 ticket. From your 19th birthday, check out our range of standard priced tickets.

During the period of the national fare cap, some of our under 19 tickets on longer journeys may have a discount of less than 1/3, this is because the discount is based on the the standard fare rather than discounted fare.

Students

If you're a student, our student Gold 7 and Gold 28 tickets may out best value for you - these tickets offer unlimited travel on all of our buses across the North. If you attend one of our local colleges or universities, they may be able to offer you a reduced price term ticket - speak to your college or university's student services team for more information.

Do I need ID?

ID isn't required if you're under 19, but some people think you look older, it might be worth carrying it just in case our driver isn't sure. If you're a student aged 19 or over, please carry your ID card when you're using the bus, as our driver may wish to see this.
