changes to our fares in the New Year

Since the beginning of 2023, our fares have been capped at just £2 per trip in line with the national fare cap. For 2025, the Government has announced that this cap will change to £3 per trip.

Our customers travelling in West Yorkshire won't be affected - the Mayor has pledged to keep fares in West Yorkshire at the current level of £2 per journey until the end of March.

If you've bought your £2 ticket on the app already, please bear in mind that this ticket will expire at the end of December, or 1 month after the date of purchase, whichever comes first.

If you travel on our buses into Greater Manchester on the 587...

Cross-boundary journeys will now be £3. If you travel wholly within the Greater Manchester area on the 587, the Mayor of Greater Manchester is continuing the £2 adult and £1 under 16 fare. There will be some changes to Bee Network tickets. As we're a bus company based outside of Greater Manchester, the new hopper ticket won't work on our buses unfortunately.

Fares for Under 19s

Under 19s still get a great deal with us. In West Yorkshire, Under 19 fares will not change - most journeys will still be £1.20 with a £1.80 fare for longer journeys. Due to the nationwide price cap, there won't be a discounted fare for Under 19s travelling cross-boundary between North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.

Beat the increase and get one of our bundle or period tickets from the Transdev Go app

  • If you're making a few trips on the 587 between West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester, grab a West Yorkshire Plus 1 (£6) which gives you full flexibility if you want to jump back on the bus later on. With a bundle of 10 (£48), it works out at just £4.80 per day.
