On Bank Holidays, we still run our usual buses just to our Sunday timetable instead. Here’s a reminder of the dates as below - with an extra one this year as we celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!

Early May Bank Holiday - 2 May

Spring Bank Holiday - 2 June

Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday - 3 June

Summer Bank Holiday - 29 August

Our buses can get you to a whole host of destinations, with a great range of day and group tickets to ensure to get the best value. Check our range of tickets here.

Whether you’re heading to the big city, grand houses, blooming marvellous gardens or just a great escape away from it all, we serve some amazing places - many served regularly throughout the day from early until late.

We’ve picked out some of our highlights for this year for you

East Lancashire Railway

The Railway’s past is inextricably linked to that of the area's industry. The railway provided industries with a vital link to the country’s network of import, export, raw materials and, most importantly, workers. Even in those utilitarian times however, the East Lancashire Railway provided a leisure-time service for holidaying workers. Today, the East Lancashire Railway is one of Lancashire's top family attractions, hosting events all through the year.

Bacup's Stubbylee Park

The Park has many recreational areas including a Football Pitch, a Dementia Garden, 3 Tennis Courts and 2 well maintained Bowling Greens

The Stubbylee Fairy Dell is a surprising element which is a short walk meandering by a stream from the duck pond through lush trees and ferns down a series of steps into the dell itself.

There is also a Children’s Playground with lots of equipment and an Outdoor Gym, where you can exercise to the sound of sheep bleating on the moors beyond and last but by no means least, there is Stubbylee Hall, standing proudly in the centre of the Park as a reminder of the History of Bacup in the 19th century.
