‘A spectacular day’ – CitySightseeing bus leads York’s Parade with Pride
Once again, our beloved CitySightseeing bus led the way for York Pride’s annual parade, and what an incredible day it was in the Yorkshire sunshine!
The first official York Pride march took place in 2012, and every year since, the event has grown bigger and bigger into what it is today – the single largest LGBTQ+ celebration in North Yorkshire, and one of the largest free one-day events on the calendar.
Another ‘spectacular day’ at York Pride
Transdev have participated in York Pride for over 10 years, and we’re delighted that one of our York CitySightseeing tour buses led the ‘Parade with Pride’ celebration through the city centre once again in 2026.
On board this fabulous party bus were colleagues, friends, families, and partners from across Transdev’s diverse family – our incredible CitySightseeing tour guides even handed out discounted tour tickets, special for this extra-special weekend.
The parade started as usual on Parliament Street, before making its way through York’s winding streets and eventually (after much whooping and flag waving) arriving at the Racecourse for York Pride Festival.
Transdev’s universal Pride bus could also be seen rolling along the route as part of the parade procession.
Victoria Giannini, Tourism Manager at York CitySightseeing, said:
“What an unforgettable day was had at York Pride 2026. We are all incredibly proud to support the community and lead the parade with our City Sightseeing bus.
“The event continues to grow year-on-year, bringing people together for a fantastic, free, family-friendly celebration.
“The sunshine only added to what was already a spectacular day filled with rainbows, colour, diversity, and pride.”
