New scenic Sunday buses to Fewston and Scar House reservoirs, and plenty of places in between - starts 16 May
1 month ago
It's good news if weekend days exploring our wonderful county are right up your street.
From 16 May we'll be running a new route in partnership with DalesBus - 821 from Keighley to Otley and Scar House, with a whole host of amazing destinations on the way including:
Fewston Resevoir - In the middle of the Washburn Valley in the south of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fewston Reservoir offers a number of relaxing paths along the side of the water and through the woods.
Coldstones Cut - Created by the artist Andrew Sabin, The Coldstones Cut is Yorkshire's latest visitor attraction. A massive construction which visitors can freely walk through and explore, the sculpture overlooks the huge working Coldstones Quarry and offers spectacular views over the scenery of Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales
Pateley Bridge - Pateley Bridge is the perfect place to start your exploration of the Yorkshire Dales, to enjoy the stunning scenery which brings visitors back year after year, no matter what the season.
Scar House reservoir - perfect for a walk, with some of the best views around these parts, and plenty of wildlife to spot including beautiful wading birds.
With a trip there and a trip back each Sunday, timed to give you a great day out at any destination along the route, there's something for everyone.
Only heading to Otley? A return is just £5.
For all other destinations on the route, our Daytripper tickets are best value from Keighley at £10 each for adults, and £19 for groups of up to five people. You can catch any of our other buses to connect onto 821 with these tickets too.
We’ll accept all the usual Transdev passes and free concessionary cards too
From 22 May we'll also be running a new route in partnership with DalesBus between Skipton and Harrogate.
Running every Saturday, the 59 will be a fantastic way to take a day out, whether you’re heading all the way to Harrogate or somewhere in between.
There are plenty of things to do along the route, and convenient stops for circular walks in some beautiful surroundings – with nearby pubs for liquid refreshment too! Even the journey itself is special – we’ll be using a double deck bus and the scenic views along the A59 are Yorkshire at its best.
We’ll be stopping at Bolton Abbey Station for the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway, The Devonshire Arms for Bolton Abbey, Blubberhouses for Fewston Reservoir, The Millstones and Harrogate bus station for all the wonderful things this nice and busy town has to offer.
You can ride all the way, and even connect in from our other buses around Harrogate, for just £10 with a Daytripper if you’re on your own or £19 if there’s up to five of you with a Daytripper Group. We’ll accept all the usual Transdev passes and free concessionary cards too
Thanks again to our friends at DalesBus for their support in introducing these new routes - we look forward to seeing you on board!
