Let's meet Karl

Karl first joined us in February 2016 as a driver for Cityzap, then progressing to become Leading Driver for York in 2019. Karl describes his day-to-day work as “Exciting! You never know what’s going to happen. It can be really challenging as every day is different but it’s rewarding when things go right.”

Karl says that his most memorable moment so far from his time here was getting nominated for the Rising Star Award at the Amazing Awards, “I didn’t end up winning, but even to be considered worthy of nomination was a fantastic feeling, and that my colleagues at the depot put me forward gave me a real sense of pride”

Karl’s colleagues describe him as approachable and easy to relate to as he gets stuck in and helps in all areas when needed. Karl spends his spare time playing football with his son and going fishing which helps him to unwind and be ready for anything when he’s back at work.
