Let's meet Debbie

Deborah started out as a driver and also a mentor for new drivers, helping them learn the routes and run procedures. She then moved on to become a Duty Manager and says she really loves this side of the business.

Deborah says her day can be really challenging, but she loves it. It’s great meeting new people and she gets a real satisfaction from getting everything running smoothly. “When I’ve done my daily job, I go home feeling proud! The challenges are the most rewarding and have really built up my confidence over my time working here.”

Deborah’s been affectionately nicknamed ‘Boss Barton’ by some of the drivers, she says it’s hard for a woman to come into such a male dominated environment, but she’s built their respect over the years and they know she is fair as can be.
