Let's meet Dan
Dan joined Rosso’s North-West team in 2003 as a trainee manager, taking on responsibility for health and safety three years later, and insurance claims from 2010. He moved up to his current role when Rosso became part of the Transdev family in 2018.
Leading on day-to-day management of our IT infrastructure, including networks, help desks and equipment, Dan deals with different issues every day – from software or device problems to network issues preventing or slowing down our teams across the North. Dan also plans and rolls out stability improvements to keep us online – as he says: “There’s always a lot going on with IT that generally goes unseen, due to it being in the background.”
Fortunately for us, Dan enjoys helping solve different issues every day: “It’s the variance from day to day, and assisting with continuous problem solving, that keeps it very fresh – no two days are the same.”
Dan was proud to be recognised in Transdev’s Amazing Awards for his work throughout the pandemic, when many of our team worked remotely to keep the wheels turning – and hopes his colleagues see him as “always there to help – trustworthy, reliable, hard-working and approachable.”
In his spare time, Dan enjoys sport with his children – both play cricket and football. Dan coaches his son’s under 12s and his daughter’s under 9s football teams up to four times a week. He’s also a follower of The Toffees – Everton F.C. – and a Beatles fan.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Dan’s also a fan of Indian cuisine – his favourite dish is Chicken Rogan Josh, with rice – and chips, not microchips!
