Let's meet Carl

I joined the company as an apprentice fitter in August 1984 and I’m still here! I’ve experienced day and night fitter roles, before moving into the stores, later becoming workshop foreman, and then to my current position as Engineering Manager.

The job can be pretty intense at times, but most of all I enjoy being part of a great team and seeing the end product we produce together. 

The people I work with would probably say I’m OCD, but to me that means attention to detail really matters to me. I’m not a morning person, but I do like to be organised at work – and it’s the same in the garden at home, I like straight lines in my lawn with nothing out of place!

Cycling, walking and family time are my three favourite ways to spend my days away from work – and when it comes to music, I like a bit of Michael Buble and Lisa Stansfield.
