Let's meet Alan

Alan joined us as Fleet Engineer in October 2020, and enjoys a varied role tackling engineering issues to keep our buses in peak condition, working with our teams in finance, human resources and procurement, and liaising with component suppliers and manufacturers.

Working as part of a team to make improvements gives Alan the biggest positive buzz – and he points to our recent Apprentice Assessment Day as “amazing, to be able to give opportunities to school leavers, and also for us at Transdev in terms of the wider development of our Engineering function.”

Alan says his colleagues would hopefully describe him as “professional, supportive and helpful”. Outside of work he plays golf and the guitar, and enjoys cooking, including baking his own bread – and the bright lights of Las Vegas are his world travel destination of choice.

A fan of the electronic music legends Depeche Mode, Alan names his number one superhero as Thor, adding: “I’d love that hammer in my toolbox!”
