Let's meet Adam

Adam began at York depot as the Union Rota Rep, then becoming the Relief Leading Driver before his current role of Detailer. Adam says “Every day is different but I mainly sort the duties for colleagues, and help them with any issues they may have such as days off at short notice or just needing a chat about personal things. I do lots of planning for the coming days with buses needed to ensure we meet service and help Leading Drivers when needed. If we are short staffed I will always jump on a bus and go out driving”

Adam’s favourite part of what he does is the mixture of time to himself to crack on with jobs and interacting with colleagues and the public when he can. “My most memorable moment working here was driving one of our York CitySightseeing open top buses around Leeds when we welcomed home the Paralympians and even had BBC Look North broadcasting from the top of the bus.”

Adam’s colleagues would describe him as friendly, a good listener and helpful. Outside of work he loves to spend time with his family, including his two daughters and two sausage dogs! He also loves to DJ and has a bedroom full of decks and vinyls and says that if he could see any band in concert again, it would have to be The Prodigy whilst Keith Flint was still with them.
