We've worked alongside Lancashire County Council to protect the 8, 11, 12 & 13
2 months ago
Here at Rosso, we’ve been working hard alongside Lancashire County Council to protect the future of local bus links around Rossendale.
It’s good news - many of the routes under threat have been saved, thanks to new agreement with our colleagues at the council.
There are a handful of changes, but all designed to put these buses on a safer footing for the future.
What’s staying the same?
11, 12 & 13 will continue to run hourly from Rawtenstall using very similar times to now.
8 from Burnley to Bacup will also continue to run as often as it does now.
School and college journeys to Todmorden High School, Burnley College, BRGS and Valley Leadership Academy will continue with minor changes to times.
8 from Burnley to Bacup will continue to Todmorden too, replacing the 7 on that section of the route. This means you don’t have to change buses in Bacup if you’re passing through.
10 will run from Rawtenstall to Waterfoot and Edgeside replacing the 7&8 in those areas. 7&8 will no longer run between Edgeside and Bacup.
Check out your new timetables which will be used from 5 January 2020

Here’s a map of what the new 8 and 10 routes look like, alongside our other local routes. Whilst the 11, 12 & 13 aren’t on the map, don’t worry as they’re staying to the same route as now.
